Short Description: Original State leader within NSTIC pilot Program. A DL derived eID NSTIC pilot was designed to aid NC DOT & DHHS effort of proofing and enrollment online for services, as well as enhance individual tax filing and fraud reduction. Within NCDOT DMV 2023 legislative priorities (HB 199, § 20-4.01), Administrator Goodwin included efforts to, “study and provide a plan for implementing mobile driver’s licenses and mobile special identification cards”. In parallel, NC CJIN is actively supporting collaboration efforts to raise awareness and early planning of select justice related use cases.
