Short Description: Starting in March 2021, Arizona DMV began issuing a secure, digitized version of holders’ driver’s licenses or identification cards carried in a smartphone app. In May 2022, Arizona implemented the first driver’s license and state ID in a wallet. In Oct 2023, the Arizona Department of Transportation announced Wednesday that digital IDs can now be stored in Google Wallet, an app for Android devices.
