Implemented by the Utah Driver’s License Division (DLD), Utahns can now download their driver’s license information through the GET Mobile app and use it as a valid credential at TSA PreCheck lines at the Salt Lake airport and other select airports around the country.

“This is a big step forward in the acceptance of (mobile driver’s licenses) in Utah, one that we expect will increase the number of Utahns who opt into the program out of a desire for convenience, security, and ownership of their identification,” said Chris Caras, the director of the Utah Department of Public Safety’s Driver License Division, in a statement.

The Transportation Security Administration (TSA), Utah Driver License Division (DLD) and GET Group North America announced today that TSA will now accept Utah mobile driver’s licenses (mDLs) via the GET Mobile app as a valid travel credential in TSA PreCheck lines at select airports around the country.
